Vacant House for over 30 Days

If you have a homeowner policy, it is important to understand that if your insured property will be vacant for over 30 days, you could have REDUCED coverage.

A Vacant Home means no one is living at the property for more than 30 days. If someone is picking up your mail everyday- the house is still vacant.


  • Extended Remodel … house vacant over 30 days.


  • Extended Homeowner claim … house vacant over 30 days.


  • Extended Medical stay outside of the home…house vacant over 30 days.


  • Extended Vacation, or need to move out…house vacant over 30 days.


  • Extended work assignment ….house vacant over 30 days.


  • House for sale and  ….house vacant over 30 days.


  • Rental property is vacant over 30 days.
